Open Data Model

With other PLM systems, changes to the data model may be complicated by the lack of a published data model.

With Elite Technology, the data model is fully visible and can be quickly and easily changed to meet business needs using the in-built data modeling tools without compromising the ability to upgrade to a newer version release. User can directly modify the sources of application saving time and reducing risk.

Open Interfaces and Web Standards

Elite Technology was built for the web. Systems that require access to data or files stored in Elite Technology can take advantage of a complete set of open web services.

Systems integration can interface directly using XML/SOAP, or user can create a WSDL (Web Services Description Language) for the specific business objects they want to interface with.

For integration not using web services, the Elite Technology Object Model (ETOM) is a comprehensive, documented and freely distributed DLL version of the Elite Technology API for use in environments such as Visual Studio or VBA.  In addition, Elite Technology supports all the .NET data exchange methods.

Integration capabilities available in Elite Technology include ODBC, ADO, flat file or direct API.  Use of integration infrastructure (EAI/ESB) such as Oracle Fusion, BizTalk, Mule Sonic and other integration hubs/buses is also supported.

All Elite Technology interfaces are fully documented, maintained and are fully compatible between revisions. Elite Technology published interfaces are equally available to customers, partners and open users without restriction and are the same as used by our internal developers.
